Easter egg card

Easter egg card

Description

A single fold card with an egg design stamped in embossed gold and decorated with glitter. This is cut out and mounted on the card using foam pads to give a 3D effect. The words Happy Easter hand written with fabric paint.

Materials used

  • A sheet of cream card folded in half to create a greetings card 90mm wide x 116mm high (3.5 ins x 4.5 ins)
  • A sheet of cream card for stamping
  • Stamp K27 Pansy Egg by DeNami Design
  • Gold inkpad
  • Gold embossing powder
  • Heat tool
  • Glitter glue
  • Double-sided self-adhesive foam pads
  • Coloured pens of your choice
  • Fabric paint White Pearl
  • Paper deckle edgers.
  • Adhesive

Method

Fold the sheet of cream card in half to create a greetings card 90mm wide x 116mm high (3.5 ins x 4.5 ins).

Trim the right hand edge of the front of the card with deckle paper edgers. Pick out the shape with glitter glue. Add random spots to the front of the card with a gold felt tip pen. Stamp the pansy egg design on cream card using a gold embossing inkpad. Sprinkle with gold embossing powder and emboss with a heat tool. Colour the design with felt pens. Add glitter glue to the flowers. Cut out the egg and mount it on the greeting card using self-adhesive foam pads to raise it from the surface. Write the words Happy Easter using fabric paint.
