Method

Punch four squares from pearlescent cream card with a Scalloped Square Super Punch. Each square measures 37mm x 37 mm (1½ in x 1½ in)

Cut three squares from the decorative flower paper. Mount each square on a punched card square.

DetailDecorate the fourth punched card square with metallic thread. Use the detail illustration as a guide.
Make a tiny nick in each indentation with a craft knife. This will help hold the thread in place.
Take a length of gold thread and tape one end to the back of the square.
Bring the thread round the front of the square starting at the left side top indentation. Go across the card and round the back at the right side top indentation.
Bring the thread round the front of the square again at the left side top indentation. Go across the card and round the back at the right side second from top indentation.
Continue winding the thread in this way until you have used six of the seven indentations on the right side.
Then bring the thread round the front of the square starting at the left side second from top indentation. Go across the card and round the back at the right side bottom indentation.
Bring the thread round the front of the square at the left side third from top indentation. Go across the card and round the back at the right side bottom indentation again.
Continue winding the thread in this way until you have used all of the indentations on the left side.
Tape the end of the thread to the back of the square.
Take a length of red thread and tape one end to the back of the square.
Follow a similar winding sequence to the gold thread but starting on the top edge right hand indentation working the thread from top to bottom.

Mount the four decorated card squares on the red greetings card with adhesive using the illustration as a guide.

The gold border is from a chain border sticker. It is the waste strip found between two chain border strips.
